The house

Old stone, a new chapter.

Originally used for pressing olives, the old stone building was lovingly restored as a holiday home where authentic Puglian character meets simple, contemporary design. It was previously known as Masserina d’Aloia and now begins its next chapter as Masserina NELO.

Rates & stay

A personal request, never an instant booking.

Tell us when you would like to come and who will be travelling. We review every request personally and reply with availability and the applicable conditions.

April, May & October€450 per nightMinimum stay 6 nights
June to September€600 per nightMinimum stay 4 nights
A €150 final cleaning fee is added once per stay. Tourist tax is included. Stays of 10 nights or more receive 10% off the total price.

  • The entire house and private grounds
  • Cotton bed linen
  • Air conditioning in all rooms
  • Use of the pool and four sun loungers
  • One intermediate cleaning for stays longer than one week

  • Open from April through October
  • Check-in from 3 pm
  • Check-out by 11 am
  • Tourist tax included
  • No security deposit
  • 10% long-stay discount from 10 nights

Payment

  • 50% deposit after the stay is confirmed
  • Remaining 50% due six weeks before arrival

Cancellation

  • More than six weeks before arrival: the remaining 50% is no longer due; the initial 50% deposit is retained
  • Within six weeks of arrival: the full amount is due
  • We recommend travel cancellation insurance

Our story

A family dream in Italy.

A little bit German. A little bit Italian. And very much in love with the South.

We are a German-Italian family living in southern Germany, and for a long time we dreamed of having our own little place in Italy.

Somewhere our children could grow up knowing both sides of their roots. Somewhere for long summers, loud dinners, quiet mornings and all the memories in between.

Then we found this little stone house among the olive trees.

Masserina NELO is our home away from home.

Four-legged guests

Room to roam, walls that hold the quiet.

Pets stay free of charge and there is no fixed limit on their number. Traditional Puglian stone walls and discreet fencing embrace the grounds, creating a private garden where dogs can move freely. The house offers the spaces shown and described here, so guests can decide whether they are suitable for everyone travelling with them.
